Weekly round-up (1st – 5th June)

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe.

As we gradually re-open the setting we felt that it would be a nice idea to share a little bit of what we’ve been up to each week just to bring us all a little bit closer together whilst we’re all apart.

On Monday morning we opened up our doors at 7:30am to only a handful of children and parents. It was very strange to say the least! As expected, in the beginning some children found this a little bit unsettling after spending so much time at home but we are super proud of how they’ve all settled back in so quickly – it’s almost like we’ve never been away!

The children have all slipped straight back into their daily routines and are adapting well to the subtle changes that we have made.

In ’Sunflowers’ we welcomed our newest member of staff, Mckenzie, who has been working alongside Liz to keep our lovely Babies and Tweenies bubble safe and entertained! It has been lovely to be able to utilise the decking area attached to the baby room whilst the weather has been so nice.

In ’Daisies’ our Tweenies and Toddlers bubble have loved spending time with Leah, Natalie and Beth. They’ve enjoyed going out for walks and playing in the garden whilst taking part in plenty of indoor activities too.

Over in ‘Buttercups’ our Preschool children settled back in without hesitation and were raring to go! The children have been sharing what they know about Coronavirus and that we must wash our hands properly. We have also put some social distancing measures in place for our older children which they are following really well!

Overall we are super duper proud of all of the children, parents and staff that have come back to the setting this week. We know it hasn’t been easy and we really appreciate how hard everybody has worked.

Take care everyone!
